Srinagar

Srinagar was founded more than 2000 years ago, around the 3rd century BC, by King Pravarasena II. It soon became part of the Mauryan Empire, one of the largest empires in India at the time. The ruling Mauryan emperor, Ashoka, a Hindu by birth and Buddhist by persuasion, introduced to Srinagar as well as the rest of the Kashmir Valley, Buddhism. Srinagar is the summer capital of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. It is situated in the Kashmir Valley and lies on the banks of the Jhelum River, a tributary of the Indus. The city is famous for its gardens, lakes and houseboats.
The Dal Lake is Srinagar’s most distinctive landmark. This part of the Kashmir Valley and located on the banks of River Jhelum, the beauty of Srinagar lies in its scenic Dal Lake. A hot spot of tourist activities, there cannot be anything more romantic than a shikara (boat) ride on the Dal Lake

If you can afford the SLR then its the best option, but if you can't then my tips are good for you. In the present age of digital photography, 'Point & Shoot' cameras are an excellent gadget for young photographers.

Nowadays there are many mobile companies who offers a very  high resolution(13 MP to 40 MP) rear camera. But still I stick to the 'Point & Shoot' cameras. My Story

Hi, I'm Arunava Sarkar The name of my blog is ‘Arunava Sarkar’s Snapshots'. This blog will help you to click extraordinary images with an ordinary camera. You don't need any very high level SLR camera. You can also click excellent images with any good point & shoot (preferably semi-SLR) camera. The main thing is you should understand some basic & fundamental topics in photography. If you can apply these things at proper time then you can capture images like a pro(Professional). If you can apply these things at proper time then you can capture images like a pro(Professional). Because carrying a SLR camera every time creates a lots of pressure both on your shoulder and pocket. So semi-SLR is better than other other point & shoot camera; because it gives more customizing options than the ordinary point & shoot cameras, and at the same time not as costly and weighty as any SLR.
